Celebrate the start of the autumn season with us at our annual Harvest Festival. As the leaves turn golden and the temperatures gently cool down, we take the chance to honour the abundance of delicious seasonal produce available during this time in an activity-filled day on our Cotswolds Farm.

Whether you’re interested in cooking, nature or sustainability, or are looking for a fun day out with all the family, there’s something for everyone. Visit our Harvest Festival page for full event details or explore our highlights below.

Market Garden & Farmshop

It’s time to dig out your cosiest knits and head down to our Market Garden where we’ll be holding fun and games for all ages. Try your hand at vegetable monster making with the kids, speak to our Market Garden team who will be on hand throughout the day or visit our farmshop for tastings of our delicious seasonal produce – think squash, turnips and wet walnuts.

The Cookery School

For budding chefs of all levels, our Cookery School will be holding demos all day. Get hands-on with our expert tutors and learn key cooking techniques; from sourcing ingredients to pairing up flavours, you’ll leave with key skills to put the wow factor into your cooking.

The Dairy

Meet the rare and heritage breeds of cattle that we pride ourselves on, including our British Friesian beauty Scarlett – you can’t miss her unique red and white colouring. Our Senior Farms Manager Richard Smith will also be holding talks throughout the day.

Our in-house sustainability expert Tim Field will lead talks with experts and friends of Daylesford, discussing the sustainability issues of today and explore the actions needed to secure our future, dedicated to a Delicious Revolution, Sustainable Solution.

Bamford Barn

Our Bamford Barn will be host to a range of sustainability-focused activities, including ideas for reusing candle pots in your home and how to help your clothes last longer, with a panel discussion on the importance of clothing quality and sustainable fashion. There’ll also be craft workshops including candle painting and embroidery.

Food and drink

A day at the farm wouldn’t be complete without enjoying some of the delicious food and drink we have to offer. Relax with a bite to eat or a refreshing cocktail at our restaurants The Trough and The Legbar or indulge in a wood-fired pizza from The Old Spot. Plus, our Shepherd’s Hut will be serving nourishing treats including warming soups using seasonal ingredients from our organic Market Garden.

As always, our Daylesford Cottages and rooms at The Wild Rabbit will be available for bookings, so make the most of your stay and enjoy a quintessentially Cotswolds experience. We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones on Saturday 21st September for a day of autumnal celebrations to remember.
