Each product in the canned food range has been grown according to the highest organic standards and is canned at the source to ensure its nutritional properties are kept intact – making our canned food a must-have for a well-stocked pantry.

Lentils

Creamy and satisfying, these protein and fibre-rich lentils are perfect for spiced dhals, sausage cassoulet, soups and stews.

Recipe suggestion – Roast Partridge with Lentils and Kale

Difficulty: Medium

Cooking time: 1 hour 20 minutes

A seasonal favourite at Daylesford, we love our roast partridge recipe with lentils and kale. A perfect dish to warm us up on the chilliest of evenings, it can also be modified to include a game bird of your choice, such as pheasant or grouse. View the full recipe here.

Black beans

Dense protein and fibre-rich beans, perfect for authentic Mexican refried beans, tacos and chilli. We love them in a bright salad with toasted sweetcorn, lime zest and roasted red peppers.

Recipe suggestion Healthy Huevos Rancheros

Difficulty: Easy

Cooking time: 25 minutes

A deliciously satisfying breakfast dish, this huevos rancheros recipe ticks all of the boxes for a healthy kick-start to the day and is from the brilliant Xochi Balfour’s Book The Naturalista: Nourishing Recipes to Live Well. Discover how easy it is to make here.

Chopped tomatoes

Possibly one of the most versatile vegetables, chopped tomatoes are an excellent addition to our canned food range. These ripe and flavourful tomatoes are from an artisan producer in Southern Italy and are perfect for everything from soups and stews to pizza and pasta sauce.

Recipe suggestion – Baked aubergine imam

Difficulty: Medium

Cooking time: 1 hour 20 minutes

More of a summery recipe, this baked aubergine imam dish takes the very best seasonal veg and brings it to life with mouth-watering flavour. Written by zero waste cook Alexandra Dudley, this is a brilliant recipe to use up surplus veg in the fridge. View the recipe here.

Cannellini beans

These creamy, versatile beans are perfect in a Tuscan tuna salad. Rich in protein and fibre, they make a nutritious stew and are essential for a classic minestrone or ribollita soup.

Recipe suggestion – Slow cooked lamb shoulder with beans and salsa verde mayonnaise

Difficulty: Medium

Cooking time: 24 hours

This is a lovely rustic and slow-cooked stew that really showcases the lamb. Whilst it involves a little time to prepare, by the end of the cooking time the meat becomes melt-in-the-mouth tender and the beans have soaked up the incredible flavour. Make it here.
