A Year in The Garden With Val Bourne: November: Cotswolds
3rd November 2021
This November workshop will explore Using Roses – the Modern Way.
Nurturing healthy roses in an eco-friendly way, without chemicals, is possible if you know how.
In this workshop Val will tell you about many different types of roses, how to care for them and prune them. She will share her own favourite varieties and where to grow them, including repeat-flowering roses and summer-flowering roses, and why she believes gardeners should use both.
Val will also share knowledge about underplanting roses with bee-friendly flowers to fill in gaps, plus tips about container-grown and bare-root roses, and the best varieties for a cutting garden.
Each month, Val’s workshops focus on the best choices to enhance your garden at that time of year, with plenty of funny anecdotes along the way and lots of opportunities to ask questions.
