Beginners’ Workshop: The Mindful Art of Arm Knitting: Cotswolds
27th September 2018
Merino wool is incredibly soft and extremely chunky, making it fun and easy to knit with. No previous knitting experience is required; once you get going and find your rhythm, you will soon master the technique of arm knitting and before you know it a beautiful blanket will appear.
Everyone who attends will create a blanket measuring approximately 65cm x 130cm, ideal for laps, cosy chairs or as a runner for the bottom of the bed. Perfect for relaxing at home and staying warm on chilly nights or a thoughtful, personal gift for a loved one. All materials are supplied, including a canvas bag to transport your one-of-a-kind creation home.
Jessica Woollard has been knitting and working with fibre for several years. After making her first arm knitted blanket she’s been hooked on the technique ever since and recently started sharing her knowledge with others who wanted to learn how to make their very own handmade pieces. Jessica says “I find the motion of knitting very therapeutic and meditative. It’s a perfect way to ensure wellbeing, peace of mind and to get those creative juices flowing.” Find her on Instagram @woollywoollard.
