Autumn wreath with Honeysuckle & Hilda: Cotswolds
28th October 2019
As winter draws near and the last of the summer blooms succumb to the first frosts, join us for a morning of Autumn wreath making with Claire of Honeysuckle and Hilda. Working on a moss based wreath, there will be a wide selection of freshly foraged items, dried flowers, seed heads, hips, bracken and other seasonal foliage. There will also be an opportunity, weather permitting, for a guided tour of our organic Cutting Garden to forage for beautiful seasonal cuttings.
Once all the wreath materials have been gathered, Claire will guide you through the technicalities of wreath construction and the various elements she likes to draw upon to create an original, unique wreath. You will learn how to process items such as bracken and how to dry elements so that they are easy to work with.
With a background in art history and environmental campaigning, Claire is a floral stylist based in South Oxfordshire. As well as creating flowers for events, she produces floral content for brands, and teaches her foam free, abundant techniques to both newcomers and established florists.
