Craft Coffee at the Cookery School
9th December 2018
If a day without coffee would be unthinkable, come along to this fun coffee brewing workshop to find out what goes into making the ultimate cup.
The three hour session will take you on a full “crop to cup” journey, led by two of the most passionate and knowledgeable trainers from EXTRACT COFFEE ROASTERS, the team that roasts our coffee and trains our staff at DAYLESFORD. Callum Parsons placed 4th in the UK Barista Championships 2017 and Dan Lacey is a UK certified competition judge and SCA Trainer.
Callum and Dan will explain the science behind the coffee beans, how roasting affects the taste and aroma, how to achieve optimum milk textures and the perfect espresso. The workshop will also cover issues of sustainability and coffee farming, while common myths and half-truths about coffee will be debunked along the way.
You will learn to taste or ‘cup’ coffee the way experts do and experience the incredible range of flavours that speciality coffee has to offer.
Callum and Dan will also show you how to get the best out of popular brewing methods so you can consistently brew the very best cup of coffee in your own home.
