Create your own screen printed Furoshiki wrapping cloth workshop with Lola Lely: Notting Hill
13th November 2019
Join us for an evening of screen printing with designer Lola Lely at our Notting Hill farmshop. In this two hour workshop you’ll use natural dyes to create your own unique Furoshiki wrapping cloth, a simple, unique and eco-friendly way to wrap objects and gifts.
Lola will demonstrate every step and introduce you to the tools and techniques needed to make a wrapping cloth. You’ll learn how to transform natural dyes into pastes for textile screen printing and will use a combination of direct printing and paper stencil techniques to create striking designs on a beautiful piece of organic cotton. To finish, Lola will then demonstrate four traditional Japanese gift-wrapping techniques.
