Jesmonite Tile & Coaster Making Workshop: Cotswolds
9th November 2018
Jesmonite is a unique new material gaining popularity within interior design. It is made by combining plaster with non toxic acrylic to create an adaptable, versatile material that may be dyed, cast, polished or combined with other materials. The result is an appealing, tactile, luxurious and natural-looking finish.
We are delighted to welcome multidisciplinary artist Stephanie Tudor to the farm to host a Jesmonite masterclass. Stephanie will show you how to make Jesmonite tiles that incorporate reclaimed and natural materials such as slate, metal swarf, glass and brick. You will discover the basics of the casting and moulding processes, integrate reclaimed or natural elements, and finally sand the tiles back to expose the textures within.
You will be able to take home four tiles or coasters with unique surface designs.
