When facing a health challenge or caring for someone who is poorly, enjoying a meal with family and friends can be difficult, but it is such a shame to miss out on the great food and human connections that are shared around the table.

The Nourish Afternoon Tea is organised by Jane Clarke, a dietitian, cordon bleu chef and a Time’s best selling author. Jane has spent 25 years treating patients who have struggled with their eating for many reasons, including dementia, strokes and bereavement, for which she was recently awarded an honorary doctorate. The Nourish Afternoon Tea at Daylesford aims to bring people together over a cup of tea and a few tempting, nourishing treats (see full menu below), while raising awareness of the difficulties around eating faced by so many, including Jane’s father, who is living with a rare form of dementia.

Jane has also created Nourish by Jane Clarke, a website and resource with the support of Patron Prue Leith CBE, DR with advice, recipes and products to offer support during illness and recovery.
