Everyone knows that roses smell beautiful, but did you know that no other garden plant has such a wide range of completely different scents?

This workshop hosted by Michael Marriott will introduce you to many different varieties of roses and their distinct fragrances, along with plenty of tips on how to choose and care for them.

You will also enjoy a mini floristry session with the Garden room team at Daylesford in which you can make your own summer bouquet using roses and other seasonal blooms.

About guest tutor Michael Marriott:

Michael was passionate about plants and gardens from a very early age. After studying Agricultural Botany he worked on rubber, cocoa and oil palm estates in the South Pacific for 5 years. On his return he began working at David Austin Roses in 1985 where he became senior rosarian giving advice, designing rose gardens, writing and lecturing around the world. He retired in 2020 but is carrying on working in the rose world on a private basis and has written a book due to be published in May. He is on the committee of the Historic Rose Group and a member of the RHS woody plant committee.
