Spoon carving with Dickon Morris: Cotswolds
29th February 2020
Learn how to transform a humble piece of wood into a unique, beautiful and useful object to treasure for years to come.
This 3 hour workshop is led by Cotswolds wanderer and artisanal maker DICKON MORRIS, who will take you through the stages of making your very own hand-carved wooden spoon out of naturally fallen wood from our very own Daylesford Estate. Dickon will provide all the tools, materials and advice necessary.
In this workshop, we will look at knife technique and cuts, reading the grain and how to finish your spoon. As well as your spoon, you get to take away a finishing pack, including sandpaper and home-made bees wax salve, perfect for keeping your spoon in great condition.
