Inspired by the natural rhythms of the seasons on our organic farm in the Cotswolds, and the healing and restorative powers of nature, The Daylesford Wellness Retreat has been created to nurture, nourish and restore as we leave summer behind and move through autumn into the cooler months.

The season of harvest and gratitude, autumn is a time of transformation, when after the abundance of summer, we should take time to slow down, rest and regenerate, just as the natural world around us does.

At this time of reflection and quiet, we invite you to join us on our retreat as we look to nature for balance, enjoying a series of healing treatments, restorative classes, transformative workshops and nourishing organic food, while resting in the peaceful serenity of our luxurious Cotswolds cottages.

In collaboration with the Bamford Haybarn Spa, our resident nutritionist, yoga teachers and cookery tutors, the Daylesford Wellness Retreat brings together the foundations of our wellbeing philosophy – that by looking to nature, you can instil holistic wellness in body, mind and spirit.

Treatments & classes in the Bamford Haybarn Spa

During your time with us, enjoy holistic treatments created especially for this time of year, designed to relax, restore and revive. Bamford’s signature bespoke facials and de-stress massages use organic Bamford beauty products, all made with natural ingredients, designed to cleanse, nourish and rejuvenate for the coming winter months.

The light and airy yoga studios in the Haybarn will be your base for yoga classes, sound healing and meditation with our resident teacher, Cristina Chandika, who will guide you through the essentials of both practises and how they perfectly unite mind, body and spirit. A mindfulness and meditation expert, she will impart her tips for slowing down and being mindful in everyday life as well as how to develop your own daily practise, rooted in the seasons.

You’ll also experience a cacao ceremony with Cristina alongside alchemy crystal sound healing. Encouraging letting go as we transition into Autumn, the ceremony will use breathing exercises to focus your awareness on what is no longer serving you; a chance to let go of any worries or thoughts that are holding you back. The session will play a key part in preparing you for a peaceful winter hibernation, taking you one step further towards rest and rejuvenation.

Wellness workshops with Rhaya Jordan

Our resident nutritionist and naturopath Rhaya Jordan will set the theme and intentions for the retreat in a welcome wellness workshop, allowing guests to settle and consider the weekend ahead. Focusing on how we can look to nature to rest and restore in autumn, taking time to allow our bodies and minds to breathe, she will discuss the importance of gratitude and reflection as the seasons change.

Guiding the cookery classes and menus for the weekend Rhaya will also discuss how the seasons influence the food on our plate as we naturally turn to richer, earthy flavours full of the minerals and nutrients we need to replenish ourselves before winter. From gut health, to ferments, vitamins and seasonal ingredients, Rhaya will talk about how to restore energy, wellness and vibrancy through healthy, organic foods full of natural nourishment.

The Cookery School

The Cookery School at Daylesford tells the story of our organic produce from field to fork through the seasons and why nutrient-dense food is so vital to our wellbeing. Each day our tutors harvest ingredients from our Market Garden to use in their classes, crafting them into nourishing dishes full of nutrients and vitamins – grown organically and cooked considerately with health in mind.

Led by our tutors and with Rhaya’s nutritional expertise, you will experience our holistic approach to cookery, getting hands-on creating delicious dishes with seasonal ingredients. The recipes you learn will be rooted in the seasons and guided by the needs of our bodies during this time of transition, giving you plenty of practical ideas to take home.

Being harvest you can expect the rich flavours of autumn’s larder: slow-cooked dishes, broths, earthy root vegetables, greens, hedgerow berries, late autumn fruit and cobnuts. As well as immune boosting ingredients and foods to include in your diet to sustain you into winter.

Your stay in the Daylesford Cottages

A haven at the heart of our farm, the Daylesford cottages have been beautifully restored to create peaceful spaces to which guests can retreat. With cosy cashmere blankets, log fires, soft organic linens and botanical candles and bath products, they are the perfect place to take time to reflect and unwind.

The fridges and larders will be stocked with essentials, wellies will be on your doorstep for mindful countryside walks, and our award-winning farmshop is only a few steps away should you feel like venturing out to explore our organic produce, homewares, garden room and workshop.

Your surroundings

Everything we do at Daylesford is rooted in the earth and our organic farm, nowhere more so than our 28 acre organic Market Garden, where you will begin the retreat with a guided tour from our inspirational Head Gardener, Jez.

Explaining the importance of organic horticulture and the benefits this has for the quality of our produce and our health, he will guide you through the garden as you harvest vegetables, fruits and herbs to be taken back to The Cookery School where our tutors will use them to create your chef’s table supper.

During the retreat you will also enjoy dining at our award-winning sister inn, The Wild Rabbit as well as our farmshop café, The Trough, where our organic produce is shown off at its best, in seasonal dishes cooked by passionate chefs.

In between classes and workshops we have factored in plenty of free time, so you might take time to explore our 2500 acre farm, on a series of gentle walks, mindfully observing nature and the changing seasons, as well as the abundant wildlife we work so hard to protect.

From farming organically, to creating healthy habitats and nourishing our soil we believe that the roots of wellbeing can be found in nature. Through sharing our organic seasonal food, imparting our philosophy of health and wellbeing and introducing you to mindful and healing therapies this autumn, we hope to help you find balance in mind, body and spirit.

PRICE: £1,800 per person, includes a 10% discount in our Kingham Farmshop for the duration of your stay.

All accommodation, activities (including treatments & classes), transport to and from The Wild Rabbit, and food is included in the ticket price.
