Take a journey into the fascinating world of seeds with this three-hour therapeutic gardening course at Daylesford.

The course has been designed to help you to start growing your favourite flowers and vegetables from seed. The inspirational course also incorporates NHS Wellbeing Principles and explores why gardening is so beneficial for health and wellbeing.

About your host

Occupational Therapist and Therapeutic Gardener Lynne Evans from POP Gardens is running a series of workshops at Daylesford, sharing a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Course Itinerary

  • 10:00: Meet POP Gardens owner, Occupational Therapist Lynne Evans
  • 10:15–10.45: Introduction to therapeutic gardening, the benefits of seed sowing, and why gardening is beneficial for health and wellbeing for a wide range of health conditions.
  • 10:45-13.00: Practical demonstrations, including seed sowing tips and activities related to some of our favourite seasonal flowers and vegetables (sweet peas, violas, beans). Workshop guests will sow seeds, learn about germination requirements and how to succeed in sowing different size seeds. You can take home all seeds sown.
  • 13:00–13.15: Q and A and take-home tips
