Weaving Workshop: SOLD OUT
21st October 2017
This half day weaving workshop will teach you everything you need to know to create beautiful woven wall hangings on a frame loom.
Over a fun, relaxing afternoon in our Garden Workshop at Daylesford, you will learn different weaving techniques such as rya, looping and pattern making, and experiment with a wide range of vintage, natural and unusual yarns to create texture and colour.
The workshop will be run by textile artist MARY MADDOCKS, whose weavings are inspired by natural textures, colours and scenes. Mary will guide the workshop group in using elements from the natural world to inspire your wall hanging. If you have a particular scene or landscape you would like to capture, please do bring it along and she will help you translate it into a weaving.
All course materials, necessary weaving tools (including a handmade wooden loom for each student) will be provided, along with a weaving guide so that you can carry on weaving after the workshop.
