Over 40 years ago, Carole Bamford was inspired to create an organic farm at Daylesford and set about challenging the mainstream use of chemicals and pesticides while protecting endangered breeds and preserving time-honoured traditions. As the endeavour grew, she never looked back and today, Daylesford remains devoted to farming organically and ensuring the best health for ourselves, our animals and our planet. The fact that we are one of the UK’s most sustainable farms is a source of pride for the whole team.
We are now proud to announce the publication of Nurture: Notes and recipes from Daylesford Farm, a new book by our founder Carole Bamford.
The book tells her inspiring story of how it all began and reveals what goes on behind the farm gates today, taking the reader on a journey around the Creamery, the Bakery, the Market Garden, kitchens, beehives and other areas of Daylesford.
Within its pages are beautiful images from the Cotswolds and beyond, recipes to nourish your body and mind through the seasons, as well as notes to bring to life the hard work, artisan techniques and skill of our teams.
