2nd Apr: Eva Nemeth flat lay photography workshop
Join us as we welcome internationally published garden and lifestyle photographer, Eva Nemeth to Daylesford to host a workshop to explore the art of flat-lay photography.
Flat lay is a wonderful way to visually tell a story through photographs, often resulting in just one beautiful final graphic. Apparently simple, there is a real art to achieving that perfect result, requiring some conceptual thinking, planning and creativity to capture the mood and tone of the event or theme you have chosen.
Eva will begin the workshop with a step by step guide through the basics of flat lay before taking you outside to our organic Cutting Garden, farm hedgerows or wildflower corners to collect flowers and foliage which you will use to create your own flat lay back in our Garden Room.
Each of Eva’s workshops will follow a seasonal theme. For this April workshop we will follow a white spring theme, including wild growing flowers such as cow parsley, tree and hedge blossoms, lily of the valley and lilac.
We will provide boards for you to create your flat lays. All guests are required to bring their own camera, camera phone or DSLR.
Weather dependent we will spend some time outside in our garden, so please bring suitable clothes and footwear.
Eva Nemeth has created many flat-lays, regularly appearing in House & Garden Magazine, Country Living and Gardens Illustrated. Inspired by nature and the countryside Eva often using flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables for her work.
