Market Garden Gather & Cook With Guest Chef Kathy Slack
Celebrate the flavours of summer on this full-day course where we’ll be joined by award-winning gardener, cook and writer Kathy Slack. Together we’ll be creating a number of delicious dishes featuring some of Kathy’s favourite recipes from her first book From the Veg Patch.
Details | This course is a special opportunity to spend a morning exploring and harvesting the freshest, most flavourful crops in season from our Market Garden, which is normally closed to the public. Hundreds of different varieties of organic fruit, vegetables and salad leaves are grown in the 28-acres of the Daylesford Market Garden. These include unusual heritage varieties as well as familiar things you would expect to find in seasonal veg boxes and farmers markets. You'll spend the morning harvesting your own fresh produce from our Market Garden, with expert guidance from Kathy on all things veg growing to how you can get the most out of your veg boxes at home. When the baskets and trugs are full, the group will pause for an appetising snack prepared by our chefs before returning to the Cookery School to transform the haul into delicious meals, guided by our tutors. Full-day course includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, lunch, refreshments and all course material. Guests of The Cookery School also enjoy a discount of up to 25% in our Farmshop after their course. Booking: Book online. For more information, please contact the Cookery School Team on 01608 731 620 or email thecookeryschool@daylesford.com |
