Our Afternoon Tea course is a firm favourite in our calendar, giving you the chance learn how to make a selection of delicious, traditional treats for teatime.

After welcoming you to the Cookery School with a fresh tea or coffee our Tutors will guide you through a series of demonstrations before you start creating your own afternoon tea display including tarts, cakes, biscuits and savoury treats.
The more challenging areas of baking, pastry-making and presentation will be covered and there will be plenty of opportunity to gain some inspiring and imaginative ideas from our experienced tutors. Using seasonal, fresh ingredients from our organic Farm and Market Garden, this is an afternoon which will be full of delicious flavour combinations and indulgent treats. At the end of the day, you will have plenty to take away so that others can enjoy the bounty too!
* Please note this course is not suitable for those following a gluten-free diet
Half-day course from 10am - 2pm includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, a selection of afternoon tea dishes, refreshments and all course material. Guests of The Cookery School also enjoy a discount of up to 25% in our Farmshop after their course.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How many people can attend?
Our cookery courses can host up to a maximum of 12 guests, with everyone seated around our large central kitchen island and cooking in pairs at each of the 6 cookery workstations in the school.
What will we be cooking?
We plan the menus for our cookery courses roughly 1-week in advance, to ensure the dishes are as seasonal as possible, therefore, we are unable to publish what will be covered on this course.
I have dietary requirements can I attend?
On booking, there is a mandatory field to fill in under the name for each guest attending where you can provide details of any dietary requirements or allergies. With this information we can then tailor the days menu to suit or provide alternative ingredients where necessary. Unfortunately, we are unable to tailor this course to suit a gluten-free diet.
Can I book this experience as a gift?
You can book places in advance for as a gift for somone, however if you do not know yet whether they will be able to attend we recommend buying them one of our gift vouchers instead. This way, they can choose the date of the course they would like to join us for. Discover our gift vouchers HERE.

There aren't enough places available, is there a waitlist?
If there are not enough tickets available, simply email thecookeryschool@daylesford.comand we can add your details to our waitlist for the evening and let you know if we recieve any cancellations.
