Packing up a large picnic hamper, throwing in a blanket and venturing into the great outdoors is one of the great joys of British summertime. This course will equip you with the best quintessentially British picnic recipes for sunny days to come!

Summer is the perfect chance to spend time with friends and family, soak up the good weather and share great food. Picnics are a wonderful opportunity to bring people together over a whole host of seasonal, delicious plates and snacks with something for everyone.
During this course we will cover recipes from bite-size sweet and savoury snacks, seasonal salads and showstopping mains. Our Tutors will inspire you with new and exciting recipes with a few twists on much-loved British picnic classics. Before the end of the course, we will head out to our favourite picnic spot in our organic Market Garden, spread out blankets and enjoy the feast along with a few glasses of chilled prosecco.
Half-day course from 10.00AM - 2.00PM includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, refreshments, course materials and a selection of dishes to eat created throughout the day. Guests of The Cookery School also enjoy a discount of up to 25% in our Farmshop after their course.

How many people can attend?
Our cookery courses can host up to a maximum of 12 guests, with everyone seated around our large central kitchen island and cooking in pairs at each of the 6 cookery workstations in the school.
What will we be cooking?
We plan the menus for our cookery courses roughly 1-week in advance, to ensure the dishes are as seasonal as possible, therefore, we are unable to publish what will be covered on this course.
I have dietary requirements can I attend?
On booking, there is a mandatory field to fill in under the name for each guest attending where you can provide details of any dietary requirements or allergies. With this information we can then tailor the days menu to suit or provide alternative ingredients where necessary.
Can I book this experience as a gift?
You can book places in advance for as a gift for somone, however if you do not know yet whether they will be able to attend we recommend buying them one of our gift vouchers instead. This way, they can choose the date of the course they would like to join us for. Discover our gift vouchers HERE.
