More Information

Reflective of Chateau Léoube’s unique coastal terroir, Rosé Singulier was born of the Head Winemaker, Romain Ott’s desire to create a rosé wine to age, that will evolve over time and offer the complexities, depth and balance usually attributed to red and white wines. Produced in very limited quantities this unique cuvée exemplifies Chateau Léoube’s dedicated pursuit of excellence in their winemaking. Romain Ott’s detailed knowledge of the local terroir combines with meticulous vinification to create an exceptional wine that showcases Provence rosé at its best.

Available only in magnum format to give the wine the greatest opportunity to age and evolve over time, Chateau Léoube’s award-winning team make less than 800 bottles of this special cuvée each year, cased in a traditional wooden box. Rosé Singulier is made with Grenache, Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes carefully handpicked from single vineyard plots that offer the most concentration and balance. These grapes are combined in the press to extract only the very best free-run juice which makes up the majority of the cuvée.

After fermentation the wine is slowly matured in the cool calmness of the cellar in precise thermo-regulated tanks. The result is a rosé that is subtle yet pronounced, with deep fruit flavours thanks to extra time on the lees.Léoube Rosé Singulier is a full-bodied rosé, complex yet elegant, with fresh minerality and salinity. Traditional to Provence rosé, the wine is bright pale onion skin in colour and on the nose has intense aromas of summer berries, white peach and exotic fruits. The finish is soft with extra length as associated with a top-quality burgundy. Fully revealing Léoube’s renowned style, Rosé Singulier combines the opulence of Rosé de Léoube, the linearity and length of Secret de Léoube and the finesse of Léoube La Londe in one expressive, balanced and simply exquisite Provence wine. Léoube Rosé Singulier is the result of Chateau Léoube’s desire to be a forerunner in world of fine rosé, dedicated to constant progress in both winegrowing and making, demonstrating the excellence that can be achieved from the terroir of coastal Provence.
