Golden Almond Milk with Turmeric & Gentle Spices

This golden almond milk is an ancient, natural way to enjoy turmeric and all its health-giving properties. A recipe made time and time again at our Cookery School on their Eat Well, Live Better courses. 

(SERVES 2)

300ml unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp runny honey
4 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
1 tsp fresh turmeric, grated
1 cinnamon stick
1 turn of black pepper
2 slices of fresh ginger

In a small pan, heat the almond milk with all of the other ingredients. Stir to dissolve the honey and bring to the boil briefly before turning off the heat. Leave to cool and infuse for two minutes before straining and serving warm.
