Smoked Trout 200g
Dry salted & cold smoked on the West Coast of Scotland. Rich & tender, with a delicate smoky taste. This rainbow trout can be enjoyed in a similar way to smoked salmon, delicious flaked into omelettes with lemon & creme fraîche, or with beetroot & dill in canapès or sandwiches.
As we don’t farm our own trout , we work with high-welfare sustainable fish farms and the award- winning Inverawe Smokehouse in Scotland, with nearly 40 years experience.
This smoked Rainbow Trout is from inland lochs on the west coast of Scotland. Sustainable farming ensures low-stocking densities and non- GM feed.
The fish are salted by hand and traditionally cold smoked in Inverawe’s brick kilns for up to 72 hours, depending on the weather. This careful, slow process results in rich, melt-in-the-mouth smoked trout.
Scottish farmed trout (97%) (fish) (Onchrhychus Mykiss), salt, oak smoke. Although every care has been taken to remove all bones some small bones may remain.

Keep refrigerated 0-4°C. Once opened eat within 2 days. Suitable for freezing on the day of purchase for up to 3 months.
