Tapping into the trend for fabulous alcohol-free alternatives to boutique spirits is Cotswold Green No.1. This is a non-alcoholic drink to treat like gin with a classic blend of botanicals. Juniper and citrus notes play a significant part of the flavour, delivering a smooth and clean taste. In the traditional distillation process, spring water is purified even further whilst extracting the natural oils from the botanicals, resulting in a very subtle cloudy appearance. The extracted oils are deliberately retained to help deliver a fuller flavour without the need to add any flavours, post distillation. Cotswold Green No.1 has been developed by WC Fowler & Sons in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire – the first non-alcoholic spirit from the Cotswolds.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Light & fresh, with notes of juniper & spice
- Palate: Fresh & clean, with citrus & sweet notes
- Finish: Long, with juniper & lemon
Serving Suggestion: Take 50ml of Cotswold Green No:1 and serve over ice with a slice of pink grapefruit, then pour in your favourite premium tonic water.
