CAROLE BAMFORD’S GUIDE TO GIFTING
THE GUIDE TO CONSIDERED CHRISTMAS GIFTING FROM OUR FOUNDER CAROLE BAMFORD – NO MATTER HOW TRICKY YOUR LIST MIGHT BE.
Picking gifts for friends and family is one of my favourite things about the festive season. We are all so busy throughout the year and Christmas is a good moment to pause, take stock and think about what the important people in life really mean to you. Beyond being a token of love and gratitude, choosing something that has been sustainably crafted, and you know will be cherished, also has a lighter impact on our planet

TOP TIPS: FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EVERYTHING
1.
There’s no feeling quite like nurturing a plant and seeing it flourish, so I love giving friends small trees or shrubs that they can admire in their gardens long after the festive season has passed. We have a great selection to choose from in our Kingham farmshop.

Christmas is a busy social time, so you can’t go wrong with a gift that will stand a household in good stead for unexpected visitors. Our cheese box has a delicious range of hard and soft organic cheeses to bring out for lunch or after dinner - all made by hand in the farm’s creamery.

PETS
I can’t resist giving my dogs a little present on the day – this year our ARKE collection has been extended to include some wonderful handmade pet accessories or for something extra special we have also curated a special Dog Hamper featuring our brand-new range of Daylesford dog food, a dog bowl and a collar.

ARKE
Over ten years ago we set up a stitching and embroidery centre in India as part of the Lady Bamford Charitable Trust, giving women from disadvantaged communities a place to learn traditional artisanal skills. Amongst many other textiles and crafts, these women make beautiful decorations by hand that I love to gift as table favours and stocking fillers.

HAMPERS
I think our hampers are a wonderful gift to receive, especially for those hosting - they really capture the magic of Christmas. There are lots of ways you can re-use the basket afterwards too, from storing wellies and tennis balls to makeshift dog beds.
