Details Nila’s ‘still waters’ series of table linen was born out of tie-dye experiments - in the process of testing the strength of our vat alongside playing with differing techniques of knotting, we chanced upon the marbling pattern, created from ties of varying tautness across the fabric.

Indigo dying is one of the declining heritage crafts that Nila House works to support and preserve, and it was while testing different strengths and experimenting with tie-dye knotting techniques that the team discovered this beautiful marbling pattern.

It is called 'Still Water', which captures the setting it creates perfectly.
